Most attacks are non-cumulative, and afflict wounds based on the damage done. Multiple separate sources of damage to the same body part produce separate wounds.

Burning, corrosive, toxic, and fatigue damage are each cumulative. Repeated damage (of the same type) to the same body part create a single wound that increases in severity. Fatigue and toxic damage ignore all damage past the amount necessary for a Destructive Wound and cannot accumulate to a Catastrophic Wound.

Impairment is a general penalty to all active Dexterity rolls (but not Active Defenses), resistance rolls against bleeding, and to Perception rolls for head wounds. Impairment penalties are cumulative.

Bleeding is resisted by an HP roll, rolled per wound. Impairment penalties for that wound apply.
