White Pines[]
The Dwarven Elders at the temple in Polisberg would like the Forge Key returned. Rumor says it can be found in the village of White Pines, supposedly in a valley east of the south end of Storm Pass. The village was overrun by demons and undead a century ago, and all the passes leading in were sealed.
The Elders think that the last Master Smith of Vinnelbrann took the Forge Key with him to the human village of White Pines, which they think is in a valley in the Gray Mountains east of the southern end of the Storm Pass. It was supposed to be overran by demons during the invasion a century ago, the entire population reanimated as zombies, and then all passes to the place sealed up. Since you're determined to kill yourself anyway, they'd be grateful if you could swing over there and find the key. They'll give you a pound of gold ($8000) if you actually find the Key, and $2000 if you just search White Pines thoroughly but don't find it. They trust you.
Scydd Silverblade[]
The ghost of the Paladin Scydd Silverblade has been seen in the vicinity of Obsidian Lake; putting him to rest would be a heroic deed.
Wood Run
The forests around Obsidian Lake are rumored to grow some of the best wood available to craft fine Elven bows.
Kirkengard Rice Run[]
We can run an errand for the priests of the eight Virtuous Paths here in town, they want some special rice from beyond Kirkengard. I dunno what they're paying but it may be worth our time if it's not a pittance. The initial offer is $800 if you bring back 5 lbs, with another per $15/lb for the next 95 lbs. The rice fields are about 3 miles southeast of Kirkengard, along the "Old Dieth Road" and very visible once you get close. The monks seem to feel that route to Kirkengard is either self-explanatory or should be determinable by anyone attempting this task.
Antmen Quests[]
The antmen in the swamp near Baile Mordred have offered a pound of gold to the delvers if they can destroy the ogres infesting their iron mines east of the mountains. They've offered the same amount if the 'rats' can be cleared from Verksloft.
